Post the stages you already stop at, set a price inside the allowed range, and sell the empty seats to people with a verified work email. You keep 80 percent of every fare.
Your stages are the route.
When you post a ride you pick the stages you pass, up to six. Those stages are handed to Google Directions as ordered waypoints, so the route riders see and search against is the one running through your stops. Nothing gets reordered behind you and no rider is matched to you off a corridor guess.
Stages are suggested, not imposed
The app proposes stages from what other drivers on your route have already used, so the first post is close to right. Edit any of them and auto-suggest stops overwriting your list until you ask it to refresh.
You see the route before you post
A preview map redraws as you add or remove stops. If a stop drags you too far off your own route the app refuses it and tells you which one.
Riders board at your stops
Riders search by stage name and filter by distance to the nearest stage, so you are not detouring to collect anyone.
An upper bound, not a forecast.
This shows what the pricing rules allow, assuming you charge the top of the range and fill the car. It is not a promise of demand.

What sign-up actually asks for.
Your work email
The same check riders go through. A code to your work address, after we confirm the domain is real and not disposable.
A profile and a selfie
Name, an avatar, your home and work locations, and a selfie taken in the app. We do not ask for your driving licence, your national ID or a photo of your car.
Your vehicle details
Make, model, colour, number plate and body type, typed in. Seats come from the body type. Having a vehicle on file is what lets you post a ride. Changing the plate later needs an email code.
You are responsible for holding a valid driving licence and insurance that covers fare-paying passengers. WorkRyde does not currently collect or check those documents, and it is not a substitute for them.
Two balances, then a request.
A completed fare lands in your pending balance. It becomes withdrawable after a settling period, currently 24 hours, provided no complaint was filed on that ride. You then request a payout to your registered M-Pesa number and our team processes it.

Two different switches.
Go Live is your availability. Flip it on and the app starts broadcasting your position and destination while you drive, so the platform knows you are on the road.
Hail-Down is the separate opt-in that lets a rider flag you as you pass. A rider only sees you if you are close, heading the same way within 45 degrees, and inside a 800 metre corridor of your route. A hail adds a premium to the fare, currently KES 50, which the platform keeps.
